TELRI was a three year collaborative project (Oct 1998 – Sept 2003) funded by HEFCE under phase 3 of the Teaching and Learning Technology Programme - part of the Teaching Quality Enhancement Fund - with additional funding across a further year for Transferability development. Useful materials available include the Institutional transferability framework which provides an overview of the review component elements(Organisation & Direction, Responding to Innovation, Institutional Thinking, Support for Embedding) and an Institutional review tool for reviewing institutional contexts for educational development, including that involving ICT.

Embedding Learning Technologies Institutionally (ELTI) was funded by the JISC as a follow up project to the learning technologies career development scoping study undertaken by a team from the Institute for Learning and Research Technology, University of Bristol, University of Plymouth and University of Glamorgan. The ELTI audit is designed to inform the process of embedding learning technologies, assist in developing institutional structures, culture and expertise and to encourage cross boundary collaboration and groupings. The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is the professional body for those involved in the management and development of people. This toolkit is aimed at training managers aiming to introduce e-learning and general HR professionals with an interest in, or remit for, e-learning provision. It includes a short overview of the implications for e-learning implementation from CIPD research, a checklist of e-learning issues for each stakeholder group to consider, three survey questionnaires for different stakeholder groups to complete to help them think through different issues that arise when introducing/reviewing e-learning and an implementation development plan to plan and prioritise actions.
