Implementing e-learning will undoubtedly bring about change to your organisation. It is likely to involve the use of tools and/or systems that are new to your staff and your learners and, unless the organisation is properly prepared for the change, the e-learning tools themselves will be seen as the cause of change and may be resented and resisted. e-Learning (and the implementation of a VLE or MLE) is necessarily part of an institutional strategy about learning and teaching, but an institution cannot be turned into a different type of learning organisation simply by implementing a new set of tools.
