Introduction

Welcome to evalKit - a directory of ICT evaluation tools and toolkits for use by the education sector covering the broad area of;

  • curriculum development;
  • media selection;
  • resource selection;
  • quality assurance, and
  • evaluation of ICT development projects.

Please note it is not our aim to review or rate the tools and toolkits held within the database but to raise the awareness of the education community to ICT evaluation toolkits and tools that are available at the current time.

What are toolkits?

Toolkits are decision-making frameworks based on expert models. They generally aim to deliver improvement for their users' practice by supporting them in assessing and improving outcomes for both individual and institutional practice.

What are evaluation tools?

The toolkits and tools included in evalKit take the form of software evaluation and design tools and pre-designed ready-to-use instruments. Some are stand-alone tools others are a collection of tools to be used at various stages of the evaluation process. They take the form of evaluation surveys, guidelines, checklists, rubrics, models, frameworks or testbeds.
