Learning Technology Dissemination Initiative

The LTDI is concerned with the non-technical aspects of learning technology focusing on educational issues, pedagogy and the implementation and integration of learning technology into learning programmes. The website holds a wealth of information relevant to these aspects including a resource section providing lecturing staff with ideas for the use of technology in teaching. A collection of downloadable publications in PDF and HTML documents are also available. The project was funded from August 1994 until August 1999 by the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council.

Teaching, Learning, Technology

The current website for the USA based non-profit Teaching, Learning, Technology (TLT) Group. The goal of the TLT being to improve teaching and learning by making cost effective use of learning technology. The website includes a collection of freely available learning technology resources in the form of HTML articles, case studies, workshop material, talks and slides concerning collaborative change and material from the Flashlight Program (Program for the study and improvement of educational uses of technology). Information about Flashlight tools can be found in the evalKit database or accessed via the Flashlight Program website. Materials are also available to institutions on a subscription basis this includes the Flashlight online tools. TALENT (Teaching And Learning using Network Technologies)

TALENT is a Teaching and Learning Technology Programmme (TLTP) Phase 3 UK based project. It aims to collect knowledge and experience of using the web for teaching and learning institutions and to disseminate it to colleges and universities collaborating with the project. Membership of the TALENT community is free. Their website has a resources section that includes the Book of Talent which brings together the knowledge gained from the project along with additional information concerning strategy planning, teaching and learning tools, integrated learning environments, online learning materials, staff development, case studies, evaluation processes, tools and data (forthcoming) and funding opportunities.

TILT (Teaching with Independent Learning Technologies)

The TILT project is part of the TLTP funded by the four UK Higher Education Funding Bodies HEFCE, HEFCW, SHEFC and DENI. TILT concentrated how teaching and learning can be made more productive and efficient throughout a single Higher Education Institution. The research was conducted by Glasgow University and ran from 1993-1995. The site includes information on the learning software packages produced by the project and details of the project's approach to evaluation. Outcomes of the project and reports are also listed although most are not available on the website.
