Description This FERL Focus Area is designed to help the HE/FE sector make the right decisions with respect to buying, implementing and using a VLE. The website is very comprehensive in its coverage. It includes information and guidance for evaluating learning platforms by providing an evaluation model. 2 practical examples of how organisations might use the model are also given. Advice with accompanying models and case studies is also given in the following areas: purchasing a VLE, staff development, piloting a VLE with your institution, mainstreaming a VLE, and the accompanying administration and implementation necessary to ensure the process is successful.
