Teaching, Learning and Technology Group (TLT Group)

The Teaching, Learning and Technology Group (TLT Group) is a not-for-profit that supports about 130 institutions of higher education around the world. The TLT Group's mission is to help educators improve teaching and learning using available technology; it does this by providing training, resources, tools, consulting, and other services. The TLT Group is distinctive because, rather than focusing on technology per se, its services support improvements in professional development; productive feedback (assessment, evaluation), collaboration across boundaries, and planning. For example, its materials on the 'seven principles of good practice in undergraduate education' are widely used in professional development. The TLT Group puts special stress on teaching and organizational innovations that are easy to adopt, and on incremental, long-term strategies for dealing with stubborn problems. The TLT Group is especially well-known for the work of its Flashlight Program on evaluation and assessment.
