Technology Used

What technologies and/or e-tools were available to you?

We used the 'ePET' portfolio which was developed in-house as part of a collaborative FDTL-4 project (http://www.eportfolios.ac.uk). This was developed on Open Source platforms (Zope, python & MySQL). The portfolio was designed to be used either as a stand-alone system or (as with the case of Medicine) integrated into the VLE.

The technology was developed in response to sector-wide requirements for Personal Development Planning (PDP) and for new policy requirements in Medicine.
