Leading a College New Build

Venue: New College Durham, Durham

CEL and JISC infoNet will be hosting this event which aims to give college chief executives, principals, senior managers, governors and those with lead responsibility for new build projects an insight into the nature of 21st century learning and approaches to managing the change process.

This one-day event will look at the:

  • Foundations – How LSC is laying the foundations to transform our education sector.
  • Bricks and Mortar – Real life-life experiences from leaders who have been through the process of a new build.
  • Scaffolding – The range of resources and networking activities available for those considering or are embarking on a new build project. This will include two workshops; Supporting Leaders and Supporting Learning.
  • A tour of New College Durham campus – An opportunity to see how an award winning college has created a flexible learning and teaching environment. The tours will cover; Teaching & Learning, Project Management, IT Infrastructure and Technical.

The event will also see the launch of a major new resource for the sector on ‘Planning and Designing Technology-Rich Learning Spaces’ and a project to support those ‘leading a new build.’

The cost for this event is £110 +VAT.
