Virtual Campus Installation Instructions
You will need rights to download software onto your PC in order to install the Tour. You may need to check your organisation's policy on this.
IPIX Plugin
How you install IPIX depends on what web browser you are using.
For Internet Explorer

Download IPIX using the following link, http://www.ipix.com/download/ie_activex_dl.html. This download procedure will take a few seconds with a Broadband connection or approximately 5 minutes with a 56k modem, or 8 minutes with a 28.8 modem.

You will be asked whether you want to Run or Save the file – we recommend you Choose Run.

Follow the instructions for the ActiveX Setup program (Click, Next; then Accept; then Finish).

After the download is completed, close your browser.

Launch the Virtual Campus from the JISC infoNet website.
If you chose to ‘Save’ at step 2, a file named axIpx32.exe will appear in your download directory (or a location you specified).
Launch the installer by double-clicking axIpx32.exe (you will only need to do this once).
Restart your browser and begin to view iPIX images.
For Firefox and Netscape Browsers
To automatically install IPIX in Firefox/Netscape Browsers follow this link: http://www.ipix.com/download/xpi_installation.html
If this fails to install IPIX you can follow the instructions below:

Download the IPIX™ Plug-in (.exe - 1.03MB) to your hard drive using the following link - http://www.ipix.com/download/ns_win_32.html

After the download is completed, close your browser

A file named "IpxSet32.exe" will appear in your download directory (or a location you specified)

Launch the installer by double-clicking axIpx32.exe and install the plugin.

Restart your browser and begin to view iPIX images
For Apple Mac Users
You can download the IPIX plugin from http://www.ipix.com/download/osx.html.
Installing Adobe Flash Player
For both Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers, follow the link below and
