Improving Organisational Efficiency

Improving Organisational Efficiency

These resources are aimed at helping institutions respond to pressures to do 'more for less' whilst meeting increasing expectations from key stakeholders, particularly learners. It is less about quick fixes to immediate problems (although we hope to offer a few of those) than strategic approaches that ensure you are applying technology effectively in support of your vision and goals.

We have blended established good practice in the strategic application of technology with the outcomes of a range of projects trying new and emerging technologies in the sector. The examples in this version draw heavily on the outcomes of the JISC Flexible Service Delivery programme (2009-2011) which focused on three main themes: Efficiency, Effectiveness and Enablement. We plan to add outputs of other relevant initiatives on an ongoing basis.

The resources are primarily aimed at senior and middle managers across the whole range of administrative functions in colleges and universities, and technical staff engaging with a range of stakeholders in relation to strategic planning. The variety of topics covered and the range of project examples may be of interest to many other staff and students.
