Records Retention Management in HE - The Way Forward
An invitation-only event was held on Friday 10th November at the Priory Rooms - Birmingham to accompany the current update to the JISC Business Classification Scheme and Records Retention Schedule tools.
The purpose of this event was to gather together a small group of leading records management thinkers and practitioners working within the HE sector to explore the broader professional context within which these tools will operate.
The objective of this event was to create the opportunity and intellectual space to allow delegates to debate the future of records retention management within HE. These discussions will be focused around two key themes:
- The problems faced by practitioners in influencing organisational and user behaviour with regards to retention management.
- The future of retention management - the true scope and nature of the challenge ahead and whether our schedules and procedures will be able to cope.
