HE in FE Programme: Useful Resources
You may find a number of infoKits useful within your projects. Core infoKits cover areas such as Project Management which includes tools, techniques and tips you can use to underpin the JISC Project Management guidelines. In particular the infoKit contains material on Roles and Responsibilities and Stakeholders.
Assessing and managing risk is covered in the comprehensive Risk Management infoKit.
Change is endemic in the education sector. Change is also difficult. The Change Management infoKit aims to help institutions find an approach that suits their situation.
Process Review contains a set of models which can be used to transform processes in a more learner-centric way.
These are just some within the range - you can access a full list of core infoKits from the navigation tab above. Applied infoKits take the core good practice models and apply them to a specific strategy/implementation/problem - for example the Implementing e-Learning applied infoKit was commissioned by the SFC to signpost resources that can provide assistance in assessing the costs, benefits and risks of implementing and developing e-learning provision. We also have some short guides on e-Portfolios, Open Source Software and Social Software which you can access via the Applied infoKits tab above.
The set of three briefing papers under the banner 'Supporting a Lifetime of Learning', part of the output from the JISC MLEs for Lifelong Learning Programme, are now available on the JISC infoNet site:
We will shortly be launching a resource Supporting Flexible Delivery: Accessing JISC and Higher Education Academy Resources for managers and practitioners developed in conjunction with QAA Scotland's Enhancement Themes.
A number of external links are given in the top left-hand box to other services such as JISC-CETIS, the Centre for Educational Technology Interoperability Standards, the JISC TechDis Service and the JISC Legal Information Service. Also included is the home page for the Programme on the JISC website, and the e-Learning Focus site which provides ongoing support to the JISC e-Learning Programme with a range of news, articles, features and other materials. The bottom left-hand box contains links to the presentations and FAQs arising from the pre-call briefing workshops.
