Commercial Sources

As well as internal sources of information the case study institutions exploited a number of commercial sites to develop their output catalogue. As might be expected the common sites were those used by the pilot study, Thompson Reuters Web of Science (WoS) and SCOPUS but other sources were also quoted including:

It is clear that while the sites are limited in scope they are a valuable source of information to institutions; can provide both collaboration of details; missing information and institutions. They can provide a collaboration of details and supply missing information. Institutions would be well advised to consider how best to exploit the information they contain.
