Overview

The JISC Organisational Support Committee has commissioned JISC infoNet to undertake a major two-year programme of work aimed at supporting and improving the effectiveness of strategic planning and looking at its implementation within higher and further education institutions.

The programme acknowledges the importance of adopting a consistent and coherent approach to strategic planning across all aspects of organisational activity and this philosophy lies at the heart of its approach. However, in recognition of the major strategic priorities currently faced by institutions this initiative will include a particularly detailed focus on the planning and implementation of e-learning and information strategies.
