The Scenario Planning infoKit and accompanying workshops were commissioned by Lawrie Phipps, JISC Programme Manager, Users and Innovation, who originated the pilot work, and further developed by Patrick Bellis from JISC infoNet in partnership with Helen Blanchett and Will Allen from JISC Netskills.
Over the past two years the JISC Users and Innovation programme has nurtured a number of ideas related to next generation technologies and web 2.0 through its highly active community of practice, comprising more than 50 institutions. More recently, a number of projects and partnerships arising from that community has been funded to bring the best of these ideas to fruition, alongside related projects working in personal e-administration. Scenario planning as a programme and project management tool has become an integral part of the U&I programme, and these resources have been developed as a result of U&I's pioneering it both within JISC and further afield.
